Bloc is a progressive web app designed for anyone who wants to capture ideas, organize thoughts, and keep notes without dealing with complex software or unreliable internet connections. Whether you’re a student jotting down lecture notes, a professional tracking tasks, or a writer drafting ideas on the go, Bloc stays out of your way and lets you focus on the words. It runs entirely in your browser, installs on any device, and works just as well in a coffee shop with no Wi-Fi as it does on a fast office connection.

Key features

Block Editor

Build notes from individual content blocks — paragraphs, headings, bullet lists, to-do lists, quotes, code blocks, tables, images, dividers, and callouts. Type / on any line to open the block picker.

Offline-First

Notes are written to your device’s local storage first. Bloc syncs to the cloud in the background when a connection is available, so you never lose a word.

PWA Install

Add Bloc to your home screen from Safari, Chrome, or Edge — no app store needed. It loads instantly and behaves like a native app.

Version History

Bloc keeps up to the last 100 versions of each note for 30 days. Open the history panel at any time to preview and restore a previous version.

Search & Filter

Find notes by keyword, date range, or tag using the full-text search palette. Press Cmd/Ctrl+K to open it from anywhere in the app.

Multi-Language

Bloc’s interface is available in English, Bahasa Melayu, Simplified Chinese (简体中文), and Traditional Chinese (繁體中文). Switch at any time from Settings.

How notes are structured

Every note in Bloc has three parts:
  • Title — a plain-text heading displayed at the top of the editor (up to 200 characters). Leave it blank and the note shows as “Untitled.”
  • Tag — a single optional label (up to 50 characters) that appears below the title. Tags let you group related notes and filter search results quickly.
  • Content — the body of the note, built from one or more blocks. You can mix any combination of text, lists, tables, code, and media in a single note.
Each note’s title, tag, and content are all saved automatically as you type. You never need to press a Save button.
