Keyboard shortcuts let you stay in the flow of writing without reaching for the mouse. Bloc supports shortcuts for opening search, formatting text, inserting blocks, and working with lists. The tables below group every available shortcut by category so you can scan and memorise the ones that matter most to you.
On Mac, use the Cmd key wherever you see Cmd. On Windows and Linux, substitute Ctrl instead.
Keyboard shortcuts are only available on desktop. On mobile, use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen and the + button to insert blocks.

Text Formatting

Select text first, then apply any formatting shortcut below. The shortcut toggles the format on or off — press it again to remove the formatting.

Blocks

Use these shortcuts to insert or convert blocks without leaving your keyboard.
You can search inside the slash menu as you type. For example, type /h2 to jump straight to Heading 2, or /code to insert a Code Block. Press Escape to close the menu without inserting a block.
